DO YOU LIKE MINIONS? Phh who doesn’t?!
FREE STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL HOW TO DRAW A CUTE MINION WITH COLORED PENCILS
Draw a sketch of a cute minion with a pencil first. This is a stage where you can make it messy and get rid of mistakes by just using an eraser.
Then take a black marker to outline the minion. I used Sharpie.
Now you just need to fill in the color
Take a yellow pencil and fill in the body of the minion.
Don’t press your pencil too much, relax your hand while coloring.
Strokes must be all in the same direction and very light, almost transparent
Let’s paint shadow: take an orange pencil, lightly gently color in the area under the glasses, between hands and on a side. This will give some volume to the minion.
You can also use the same yellow pencil you used before but press it harder to get more concentrated color when drawing the shade.
Take a black pencil, draw where the shadow drops from the glasses.
Don’t press the pencil, minion doesn’t like stress!
Stokes must be super light, almost invisible. Just to give more depth to the shadow
Add volume to eyes!
Take a blue pencil and lightly, almost not touching, draw the circle of the eyes.
No need to color in the whole eye balls with blue. You need light layer of blue and press a pencil a bit harder when outlining the circle of eye balls
These cool glasses should be filled in with a smooth color of your choice. Let it be violet!
You can make strokes harder and more concentrated underneath the glasses where they touch the body of the minion
Dress up the minion with blue jeans! Color in and press harder in areas in the bottom and where jeans material fold.
You can add more color under the hand and heart because the shade must be falling there too
Take a black pencil, draw where shadow drops on jeans: from hands. heart. Create shadow in the bottom too.
Jeans are real!
Color in the hand and boots of the minion with a black pencil
Do everything with love!
And don’t forget to color in the heart. Press the pencil more on the left side, under the palm. Create some volume this way
