Cows in pasture, Mont Blanc

Cows in a pasture in the Alps is an original watercolor painting inspired by Tour du Mont Blanc.

In the summer of 2022, I did my first serious hike in the Alpine mountains. TMB is one of the world's most famous treks that circles the snowy Mont Blanc mountain and lies through France, Italy, and Switzerland.

This pasture painting depicts our adventures up the mountain when crossing borders to Italy. It was getting late, we were not sure if we would make it to Courmayeur by night. And there we were, crossing the pasture full of beautiful Alpine cows drinking water, and playing with each other. We had to stop and pet them!

Tour du Mont Blanc was a healing experience for me because it was the first time I felt calm and at peace since the start of the war against Ukraine.
