Due to the war against Ukraine, I was forced to leave my home and art studio. Currently, I'm staying in France.
Every morning since moving here I pass by my neighbor's garden and see this orange rose. It has been blooming in April, in July, and in October and I have a feeling it will be standing strong for more months to come.
I found it incredible how this rose survived all these months and weather changes. And so this rose became my inspiration for watercolor artwork. I find it symbolic of my nation as well as full of hope for a better future. That's why sunlight shines through this watercolor rose, highlighting its delicate petals and strong core.
